Hi there!
On October 13, I'm participating in a walkathon called ‘Prams of Power’ to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence victims during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
In 2023, over a third of all homicides in Australia were linked to domestic and family violence, with 41 lives lost in the most tragic circumstances. Domestic violence is no longer a hidden issue; it's a public crisis claiming innocent lives at an unprecedented rate.
Every step we take is a step towards raising awareness and offering support to victims who desperately need it.

DVConnect exists to help Queenslanders experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence. Our vision is a future where all lives are free from violence and fear.
We provide victim-survivors, including children and pets, with pathways to emergency transport, accommodation, safety planning, crisis counselling, and more.
Our dedicated counsellors offer support via our Womensline, Mensline, Sexual Assault Helpline and Forensic Support Line.
We also operate Bella's Sanctuary, a safe place for women and children to heal and rebuild after violence. This independent medium-term accommodation houses five families and is made possible by community donations.
